I Hugged a Tree and I Liked It

I have carried on a secret love affair for 15 years and am finally ready to confess:  I am in love with Louisiana cypress trees.

The remainder of this month, I will be sharing my favorite cypress photos with you, like they are my family members.  Together we will explore my connection and why I admire them so much.

Perhaps I will better understand why my graying, long hair hangs like Spanish Moss from a cypress limb, and why my skin is turning “crepey” and resembles the texture of cypress bark.

The photo above is my most cherished cypress photo; I was hugging the tree when I took it.
